During the COVID-19 pandemic, owner Matt R saw a need both for his family and others. Initially formed as a way to help pay it forward by offering free safety repairs to friends and family, GarageWorks adopted a quality over quantity mentality. Repairing, outfitting and servicing one vehicle at a time allowed for greater customer/technician relations, increased communication and an improved auto repair experience for all. This mentality lives on as we continue to avoid common pitfalls in over scheduling and over working our staff.

Big News! We are beyond excited to announce that we will soon be moving to a new location off South Broadway in Englewood. Our current space has worked well for us to grow in, but thanks to our amazing customer base we are in need of more room. Additional service bays, much more parking and ease of access will be very welcomed! While building our @outer_limit_supply display we asked Travis if he had any damaged cases which we could use to showcase their quick release mount. He dug up a kit which had lived outside a rig for quite some time until the vehicle rolled over. Occupants were unhurt, but the case and quick release suffered some minor damage. PSA! When inspecting your off-road vehicle prior to a trip, what are you looking for? Bolts/nuts with powdery rust behind/around them and shiny “witness marks” are a sure sign of loose fasteners. Sometimes, even when shaking these components they will feel normal but this is the text book tell-tale of a loose fastener! Grab a torque wrench and double check, you never know when it will be the difference between a successful and disappointing outing!

Hello Everyone! We are excited to announce that we have joined the TechNet program to better serve our clients. Previously we provided a 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty on all of our repairs and services. Now with the new change to the TechNet program we are excited to share that our warranty will now be 3 years, 36,000 miles! This industry leading warranty period will not only give our customers extended peace of mind when it comes to parts and labor coverage, but it will provide so much more. Our warranty is now nationwide, for the entirety of the 3 years/36k mi. If there is a problem with your repair and you are outside our service area, the warranty administrator from TechNet can point you to a participating shop for the problem to be resolved. If a participating shop not near you, they will help you to utilize another shop, and your resolution will still be covered under our warranty. Additionally, roadside assistance is now available for all of our clients! This means towing, out of fuel, flat tire changes, etc. will all be taken care of without causing financial stress or worry for you. As always we are here to serve YOU, our wonderful clients. This move to TechNet’s warranty and roadside assistance is just another step in the right direction for us. We are always trying to step outside the box to make your automotive repair experience one like you’ve never had before.

Don’t forget to change your spark plug oil! 😜 But in all seriousness, oil in spark plug tubes can put a big damper on things. Replacing plugs and coils can be futile if the root cause isn’t addressed! In this case, spark plug replacement was recommended due to mileage. However the presence of oil (leaking from the valve cover) in the spark plug tubes would lead to reduced spark plug/coil life and required replacement to prevent a repeat repair. While finding further issues during a maintenance or repair service is never fun for us our our clients, knowing that we will never sweep a true issue under the rug should be comforting and refreshing!

As we fine tune our business model and hone in on the clientele we serve the most, we have paid specific attention to areas of need. One of those areas we have identified is vehicle recovery (gear AND knowledge). As our good friends at @co_4x4_rescue_and_recovery can reiterate, all the gear is worthless without the knowledge to use it. Likewise, poor quality (and often unsafe) gear is equally useless regardless of your experience level or knowledge.
